Mission University Men's Soccer Team Signs Players from Belize and Brazil.

Springfield, Missouri Jul 8, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Mission University also signed three (3) other very talented soccer players from the countries of Brazil and Belize for its 2024 Men's Varsity Soccer Team.

The two players from Brazil, brothers Kevin Arantes Amaro and Kauan Arantes Amaro, have played in the competitive leagues of Sao Paulo in Brazil for the past several years.  Both brothers have made appearances for the acclaimed teams of Clube Vital de Ibiuna and Veleiros de Ibiuna.   Apart from being exceptional soccer players and notable students, they have been very active in terms of offering their time and their soccer instruction to underprivileged youth in Brazil.  One of their objectives in life has been to serve the less fortunate through the sport of soccer.

The other signee, Curtis Valerio, is from the Central American-Caribbean nation of Belize.  A highly talented central midfielder who has made appearances with the Youth National Soccer Team of Belize, Curtis is thought to be a force with which to be reckoned.  Valerio is a top collegiate soccer recruit who is known not only for his skill and technique but also for his ability to accurately cross the ball and make penetrating passes.  Equally impressive is Valerio's shooting ability from outside the box.

Mission Universitys soccer coach, Antonio Soave, said, "We are very blessed and excited to have these three players sign their Letters of Intent with us.  We are committed to building an exceptional Men's and Women's soccer program at Mission University, one that is Christ-centered and one that is focused on building great student-athletes."  Mission University begins its preseason training in early August, and it will compete in the NAIA, as well as, within the American Midwest Conference and the NCCAA.
